Playgroups FAQ

Doha Mums love playgroups and have a terrific variety from which to choose!

Most of our playgroups are unstructured, allowing the children to engage in free play and their mums to socialize.  Other playgroups may have a specific purpose (i.e. an art project or outdoor play), requiring parental participation.

Our playgroups are typically held at members’ homes, compound clubhouses or in public parks.  The hosting member decides whether the playgroup will be open to all ages or a specific age range (e.g. infants).  Small fees may (or may not) be requested to help with the cost of snacks and supplies.  Some are scheduled on a regular basis (e.g. weekly)  - while others are scheduled on a one-off basis.  Be sure to check the Events page for a listing of the one-off playgroups and other fun activities.

Please note that we run fewer playgroups in the summertime than we do during the school season. They are frequently one-off events, so you'll want to check the Events page for a complete listing.
