Saturday Park Playgroup  

It's too hot! We have closed this playgroup until November or so when it cools back down!

Dahl Al Hamam park boasts a giant shaded playground and there is something for every child to enjoy.  Be sure to bring sunscreen, a snack and a beverage for your child.  You might want to bring some sand toys if your child enjoys playing in the sand.  Many parents bring trikes, scooters, and bikes, too, as the sidewalks are perfect for young riders.

Have an infant who is too young to “play”?  Join us anyway - it will give you some much-needed “playtime” with other mums!

There are generally around 20 families attending, so it is easy to find us, and children of all ages are welcome to attend.  Playgroup is for mums as much as anything else, so expectant moms and parents of new babies are encouraged to attend as well. 

Similarly, Dads are welcome to attend - it’s a great way for both parents to socialize.

There's no need to RSVP - simply turn up between 10am and noon every Saturday. However, you might want to RSVP via email so we'll know to expect you - and we'll be happy to give you the contact number of the hostess so you can find her at the park.

Please don't forget to sign-in with the hostess, too, so we can verify your attendance later - we take the privacy of our members very seriously, so if you don't check in with the hostess then we may not be able to verify your attendance.

Look for Nicole or Sara at the playground - if you can't find them then ask for Maria! You can also text Sara at 3382-0301, Nicole at 5503-6358 or Maria at 3320-4394 to figure out where they are.

To get to Dahl Al Hamam Family Park from:

The Villaggio Mall
Drive "up" Al Waab Street until you reach the intersection that has the three giant arched billboards (Al Bustan Street) and turn left.  Drive for 10-15 minutes until you go under the flyover.  Landmark Mall will be on your left, so follow the instructions below from there.

Landmark Mall
With Landmark Mall on your left as you drive on Al Markhiya Street, exit onto the last turnout before the roundabout.  Then take your second right (Al Hedaya Street), which will put you right in front of the park - you'll see the painted tires half-buried in sand. 

Continue on this street until the end and turn left on Al Deebel Street.  Drive along Al Deebel until almost the end of the road and turn left into the parking lot.  Upon entering, turn left past the guard shack and drive until you see the playground.  There is plenty of parking and the playground is easy to locate.

City Center
Heading toward the Arch/Rainbow Roundabout from City Center Mall on Al Wahda Street, continue driving straight through the Arch/Rainbow roundabout.  Turn left at the light (onto Al Jamiaa Street) when the road ends and then turn right at the next roundabout onto Al Markhiya Street.  The following roundabout will be the Dahl Al Hassam Roundabout - turn left there onto Arab League Street.  Get in your right lane immediately and after ~100M turn right into the turnout and then onto Al Deebel Street.  You will then make an almost immediate right into the parking lot.  Turn left past the guard shack and park next to the playground.
