My Confession

"I don't."  That's my response to the question that I hear a lot: "How do you do it all?"  Well, I don't.  I definitely don't.

Doha Expat Mums & Kids (now Doha Mums!) may have started with me on Day One, but by Day Two it was no longer "my group" - it was "our group". It is our members who volunteer to organize and host events all over the city; it is our members who keep our private forum going as a hotbed of must-know information; it is our members who enjoy our events and spread the word to their friends.  Doha Mums is truly Our Group.

Sarah C. has been a powerhouse since she joined the group and has quietly cast a web of networking connections throughout the Doha business community. Some of you might even be in her Little Black Book.

Susan, Natalie, Beth, Hiba, Elvia, Kerri, Linda, Kirsten, Sarah S., Michele, Melissa, Cheryl, Molly, Angela, Tanya, Laura, Gill, Claire, Elaine, Gita, Heidi, Maria and Nadia have all been very active in the group, for which they deserve a standing ovation or two - apiece.

BigTent rocks as a platform for groups like ours.  We were BigTent's first international group and they've gone out of their way to help us succeed. Diane and Rosa have been particularly helpful and supportive, and I owe them each a cup of coffee next time I see them in San Francisco.

Mr. Q of ILoveQatar.net deserves a nod or two for his support along the way; it has truly been an honor to know him.

Sonia created our feminine logo and was so patient with when we decided to rebrand at the last minute.  (Her design portfolio is the real deal in case you are looking for a graphic designer.)

It has been a pleasure to work with Blue Beetle on our web design & development.  I'm very happy with the way the Doha Mums website turned out, and feel that Mark and Amir deserve a day off - though not today, please.

So the truth is out.  It's not just me, and I'm so glad it's not.

It would be one dull group if it was.

(who is enormously grateful to all 560+ Doha Mums members for all they do)
