Tour of the Sheikh Faisal Museum
Date: Wednesday 28th April, 2010
The museum has been established to preserve and display the different collections of art and artefacts accumulated by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani over the years from all around the world. However, reflecting the importance that Sheikh Faisal and the Qatari people place on their heritage and cultural identity, the museum has a strong focus on Middle Eastern and Islamic history and culture. Containing some of the finest and most important examples of Arabic manuscripts, fine art and militaria, the museum has been established as a resource for all those seeking to further their understanding and knowledge of Qatar heritage and Islamic civilization.
The museum is about 20 minutes outside of Doha so we will meet around 8:45 AM on 28th April. Details coming soon -
