ADOPTION NETWORK

The Adoption Network was formed by two mums who had adopted while in Dubai and have since moved to Doha.  During their adoption processes in Dubai they belonged to an Adoption Support Group which provided instrumental advice and support and connected them to other families who had also completed their adoptions. 

Adoption is a road not travelled by everyone, and we hope that by establishing this network all our newly connected mums and their families can come together to be able to offer support and share information to those in Doha who are in the process of considering adoption – or who have already adopted children.

The group is open to anyone who is interested in learning about adoption in general and the adoption process specific to this region. Parents who are currently in process or who have already completed an adoption are also encouraged to join.   We aim to organise monthly social gatherings where adopted families and potential adoptive families can gather together in a supportive and open environment.  

We will meet at various compounds around Doha, with the idea of sharing the responsibility and taking turns to host at different locations.  We know people can’t make it to every event, but we think it would be great to have a calendar of events so you know when and where we are meeting and you can RSVP and turn up to any of those.
