OUT OF SYNC

Out of Sync (OOS) is an informal “network” of parents whose children have any sort of “special need”, such as ADHD, Oral Dyspraxia, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, PDD-NOS and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The network also includes various service providers who serve special needs children. Our aim is to become a strong collective voice of the special needs community in Doha.

Our mission is to unite parents, families, friends, people with special needs and professionals who serve them by creating a strong, supportive community by sharing knowledge, information, events and news. Together we can build a better understanding and awareness of autism and other disorders in our city and help each other with our unique needs.

Our goal is to provide a support network, conduct workshops for parents and to connect parents with educational and therapeutic resources. We are always seeking specialists of any kind who might be willing to take referrals, speak to the group or be involved in any way. 

Please join our private website, where we have a discussion forum on which parents can request recommendations for referrals, ask for general advice or suggest meetups. Service providers (e.g. speech therapists, ABA therapists, etc.) are welcome to advertise their services on the forum as well. You do not a member of Doha Mums to join the Out of Sync group, and there are no fees to join. Families who have not yet arrived in Qatar are welcome to join as well.
