Doha: All the staff and students in all government and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools must take the Rapid Antigen Test once at home or at one of the designated centres no later than 48 hours before the start of the school year, Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced today.
Based on the ongoing preparations for the academic year 2022/2023, and based on the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in combating the spread of Coronavirus, and in light of the current health indicators of the virus, and after coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, Education Ministry has announced that:
– All the staff (administrative, teaching, and students) in all government and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools must take the Rapid Antigen Test at home or at one of the designated centres no later than 48 hours before the start of school year. It should be noted that this examination is only required once, at the start of the academic year, and not on a weekly basis.
– To gain entrance to schools and higher education institutions, you must show a negative test result, and if the result is positive, you must visit the nearest health centre and follow the precautionary measures established in this regard.
– According to the Council of Ministers’ decision, all the staff (administrative and teaching, as well as students) must commit to wearing masks while in schools and higher education institutions, as well as in their various facilities.
– Employees’ commitment to show the Ehteraz app (in Green) before entering schools and higher education institutions. On this occasion, the Ministry affirms its keenness and commitment to continuing the educational process and adapting to all circumstances, with a particular emphasis on the commitment to implement precautionary measures for students and administrative and teaching staff in accordance with the approved protocols.
